2012 in Austria a World Peace Monument is coming into being – a Stupa!

Who is initiating this project?

Bob Jon Sunim – supported by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, by Pilgrim, further institutions and personalities.

What is the main aim of erecting a World Peace Monument?

To take a stand against discord and selfishness in our global reality of life, to bring human beings together and keep a dialogue going, and to facilitate a harmonious togetherness on the far side of worldviews and ideological beliefs.

A Stupa is a manifestation of the Enlightened Mind – permeated by infinite wisdom and compassion towards all sentient beings. For that reason it is a Monument for World Peace, for happiness and mutual understanding.

A Stupa creates a space of concentration. It is an imposing structure, possessing strong attraction and radiance that can lead people together in a joint quest for peace and create a partnership for spreading the message of peace – the Stupa acts as a counterbalance to the suffering in the world.

Stupa-localities are places of particular charisma fostering a harmonious togetherness in this world thrown out of balance.

In order to let this powerful space come into being it requires as much support as possible. Only by means of donations we can succeed in erecting this worldwide unique Stupa in Austria. Located in a Peace-Park, dedicated specially for this purpose, the Stupa will be singular in its dimensions, distinctive in its architectonics.
